Stay away from this business. First call (Oct/06) requesting information went well, Jody explained me about the garage coat products he stands behind. He explained they use Epoxy as base and Polyurea as top coat. He asked me for photos and gave me a quote. I was busy that week for a in person inspection. He understood that I didn't have time at all for a in home consultation. The remaining conversations were always led by me (red flag). I was confused if he was just too busy and didn't mind winning business with me. I texted him some questions days later (Oct/16) about the color options and had to remind him to reply (red flag). Finally, Oct/25 he offered to drop off a sample so I can choose a color, he again didn't request to see the floor. (Nov/5) he finally found the time to come to my area and dropped of the sample. I had some questions about warranty that I thought I could finally ask face-to-face. But he literally left the sample at my door, took a picture, and sent it to me. He didn’t even ring the bell so I could show him the garage (red flag). I then asked the question via text (he says: lifetime warranty, labor, and material - warranty is transferable). When I decided to close the deal I asked for copy of the warranty policy, which he end up sending only after I sent out a non-refundable deposit. In my call after that he started contradicting himself saying that the manufacture of the floor gives 5 year of warranty and his company cover it for lifetime … AND he needs to check if it is transferable (another red flag, at this point I was hooked up since I sent the deposit). The day before installation I had to send out a message confirming the service (again horrible customer service). His contractor comes for a floor inspection and wants to charge me more for the floor that they never inspected in the first place. Be CAREFUL … here is where he will trick you, he will never check your floor for an estimate, he gives you a “better” price so then later he comes and revise the price on the day of installation. He wants to charge for filling the joint between the floor and the wall, a service that most of all serious and reputable contractors have included in their service. Last but not least, when talking to his contractor he tells me that he used Polyurea as base AND top coat. This is the fastest and CHEAPEST way they can coat the floor since it can be done in one day, however it is not as good as the combination of Epoxy + Polyurea research shows. I walked away from quotes that offered polyaspartic as base and top coat because I want the base to be epoxy, even though Polyasparic has some advantages vs polyurea. I feel deceived. The service this company provides is despicable. I should have never closed the contract with all these red flags, shame on me too.
