Boulder Architect, Michael Silbert, specializes in custom home design for the mountains and plains, as well as additions and renovations. With 32 years of experience in Colorado, Michael understands the value of incorporating the clients’ vision with his own and balancing these ideas with the building site environment to create a well conceived, energy efficient design. "As an avid outdoors-man and environmentalist, I have always felt a deep connection with the natural world. I believe that same relationship is important in residential architecture, which is why energy efficiency, sustainability, and strong visual links to the outdoors are an integral part of my designs. Another important part of my philosophy is the team approach. The homes that I create are not for my use, but for my clients to live in. Their ideas are crucial to the schematic design process and their feedback throughout the later stages of the design process can help turn the early sketches into their dreams. I have designed around 300 homes in the Front Range and Vail areas, so I have experience with mountain and plains design. I have designed numerous additions and renovations both large and small.
