SUBCONTRACTORS BE WARE!! CHRIS is a scam!!! It saddens me to say this but being paid for your work isn’t possible with him. We worked on a project for him “first time working for him” finished up, took pictures of our meticulous work quality just to be ignored. For over a week I tried calling, texting, left voicemails, sent multiple invoices and finally he replies saying the appliance installers scratched the floors we did a custom stain on and he wants a new bid from me to get reimbursed by the said company. I mentioned I need to be paid in full prior to doing any additional work for him. Yet another three days pass and attempt to ask for my money again. Now he has “new damages” that he claims was our work quality. Me being an actual professional in my trade offer to go to the home to view the damages and warranty the work “still haven’t gotten paid” but he won’t respond to allow me to warranty the work. I could say more but I’ll let you be the judge. Homeowners be ware! This guy takes your hard earned money and uses new subcontractors as he never pays for completed work and from what I have read he is a fly by night type of guy!

Chris is the worst of the worst. We used his company to renovate our attic and also contracted with him to build an ADU for my mother-in-law. His company filed chapter 11 bankruptcy after delaying the ADU project for 8 months. Chris lied to us about filing paperwork to the city (same as the previous reviewer!). Now we'll likely never get the $48,000 deposit back as there are multiple other creditors who have been scammed by Chris. As for the attic build that his team did complete (6 months after they told us they would), many aspects are now falling apart. The shower is leaking the tiling has failed. We have a window that also needs to be replaced because it wasn't sealed properly. DO NOT WORK with this company or Chris McKenzie.

This comampamy filed for Chapter 11 after taking a significant amount (from us/in-laws) of funds to begin an Adu so they can eventually live with us. Lied about permits application status. Now we are in the mix of figuring out whether they will be able to perform... Or loose a significant amount of the in-laws funds that were for an Adu for them. Not looking good.

If there was an option for no stars this company wouldn’t get any from me. I’m amazed at all the good reviews below. I did not have the same experience. I felt he lacked in communication skills. Additionally, i hires him to bring his crew to finish my jobs timely. Chris, sent 1 person most of the time. We went almost (3.5) 4 months without a kitchen. Why?: 1. Most of the time he would send one person to do the work. (Sometimes I’d get 2 individuals) I’m not sure about you, but when I hire a contractor I’m expecting a crew. I could have hired 1 individual to do the kitchen and got off paying a lot less. I also expect for the work to be completed more timely— 3.5 months without a kitchen was such a hardship. 2. I felt like he treated me with disrespect. He ordered cabinets however the wrong cabinets where delivered and he proceeded to install then cabinets even though they were not the right ones. Even after I told him, he arrogantly told me he had to see what I was talking about. This is interesting because I know from speaking to one of his prior employees Chris was aware those were not the right cabinets. Instead of coming to me to let me know the wrong cabinets were delivered he had his crew (the 2 people) begin setting them up while I was away at work and an evening meeting which is when I learned of it. 3. In addition, Chris has a problem with lying. I told Chris I will not accept those cabinets in my home. That was not my vision. He told me he’d get them move out of my home and get the right color. He also told me in order the get them quick he had to pay an additional $1300 for expedited delivery. And they would be delivered by the end of the month. Funny thing Is, I called where he order my cabinets. The day I call I learned 1. Chris ordered the cabinets that day I called (a week later and the date Chris promised they would be delivered) 2. They said they had no such option for expedited shipping and it would take two weeks for delivery. 3. So since there is no expedited delivery there is NO $1300 expedited delivery charge. The above are just some of the issues I had with this company. Use at your own risk!

It's been a pleasure working with Chris and his team! They are very clean, professional, friendly, and did a wonderful job on our painting prep, wall repairs, and on the installation of our new shower doors. Communications were easy, and messages/calls were returned promptly. Very much looking forward to working with them on our larger projects in the future!

We hired Chris and his excellent crew (shout-outs to Nathan and Aaron) to do a list of things from the inspection report from our home purchase. They were excellent by every measure: the time and cost estimates were accurate and reasonable; the work crew was efficient, professional, kind, and respectful; and their work was outstanding. Chris did a wonderful job fixing inspection issues at my new condo. His depth of knowledge is much appreciated as he was able to address electrical, grout work, and fan maintenance in one appointment.

Chris was easy to communicate with and great at getting back to me. I was really impressed that they were willing to take on such a wide range of projects - from leaky gutters to fixing foundation posts to replacing a sliding door. Everything was smoothly done and cleaned up after.

I hired Pacific construction to help build a complicated play stucture for us. They were polite, efficient and detailed. I'd hire them again in a second.

PCG repaired our crawlspace and bathrooms to meet buyer requirements. They did good work and met our tight schedule. They were responsive and had positive attitudes. Their prices were reasonable. Five stars!

Wonderful work on something that needed fixing quickly. Chris got our job in between his busy work schedule. His crew were polite and leaned up after themselves. The job went faster than expected and there was a cost adjustment given which is greatly appreciated. We had dry rot at the sill of our back door which we discovered when getting ready to replace the back deck. Everything ground to a stop. Chris et al gave us a bid and got the fix done with enough time to get the deck folks back on schedule. Highly recommend Pacific construction group

I was referred to them through my real estate agent while selling my house on a very quick close. They were immediately available to come out for a bid. When we hired them to do the work they were responsive to our deadline and completed a mish mash of different things in a really timely manner and did great work at a very reasonable cost. Even my husband agreed, which is not an easy sell. I will definitely work with them again. I'm only not giving 5 stars because I never do :)
