About Us

Boutique Architecture and Design Firm Over the past fourteen years, Shmuel D. Flaum has worked on a large spectrum of projects throughout New York City and Long Island including many high-end residential projects as well as various commercial, industrial, hospitality, restaurant and office projects. Shmuel has also spent several years instructing design studios and visualization classes to both architecture and interior design students in addition to lecturing in architectural history/theory. Shmuel graduated from NYIT with highest honors in May 2007 when he received his Bachelor of Architecture. He was also awarded the prestigious Henry Adams Medal and Certificate as the highest ranking graduate in his class.

Nothing but praise for Mr. Flaum - professional, timely, creative, and adaptable - everything that you can ask for in an architect. Presented us with an excellent set of plans which incorporated our entire wish list. No hesitation at all to make modifications as the project progressed. Worked extremely well with bout our general contractor and interior designer / decorator, which enabled our entire project to be completed in what would have been record time if not for a 3 month work stoppage due to Covid restrictions. Would highly recommend Shmuel and his team.

Shmuel Flaum is amazing! His professionalism and talent is only matched by the cool, calm and collected way in which he operates. And his ability to get things through NYC DOB is unparalleled. His support staff are also a pleasure to deal with. Bottom line, SDF gets the job done! I highly recommend him as an architect.

Shmuel was great to work with, he did a great job listening to what what needed and maximizing our space accordingly. He was creative and very responsive to our comments until we were completely satisfied with the design. He was able to get our plans approved very quickly. He was readily available throughout the job any time we had any questions or issues. We highly recommend him !
