“We have had a good experience working with Lester from Imagine Your Home as we went through a home reno project. He helped us from the start when we just had some basic ideas of what we wanted to do. His knowledge and experience in the building industry shone through as we stepped our way through the project. We would certainly recommend him to anyone looking at either building or renovating their home. We took our early 80's bungalow and freshened it up, added a 2 car garage and office, and got a bigger kitchen out of the deal, which was what we wanted in the first place. Lester has been very good at using creative ideas to utilize space in a practical way, and make it look nice at current with 2013.”

“My husband and I had a completely fantastic experience working with Christine. When we approached her to meet with us to be our potential designer we had some definite home plans in mind but many questions were still keeping us up at night. We were very nervous when it came to finding the right person for this job as we wanted the relationship to feel natural and comfortable. On that first visit everything just clicked. She is not only extremely personable and very easy to talk to to, but she is highly knowledgeable when is comes to her craft of home design. We signed up with her on that first meeting. Christine had our first set of drawings sent to us within a week after our initial meeting. It was great to see just how much she captured after only a few hours going over what we had in mind. The process flowed nicely after that until we were finished tweaking things here and there. Any changes we made were taken care of promptly on Christine's end and she was always good at offering her opinion when we just weren't sure. I would highly recommend Christine to anyone looking to design the home they've seen in their dreams.”

“My wife and I have worked with Richard on several projects, from a bedroom addition to cottage retreat and finally art studio transformation. We keep coming back to Richard, because in addition to his architectural problem-solving skills we always know that we can count on his creativity, attention to detail, and excellent project management abilities. From the beginning design consultations to product selection and placement, no detail is overlooked and Richard's own enthusiasm for our projects almost seemed to eclipse our own. Richard's attention to detail begins with the first client meeting, making sure that he understands your vision above all else before he ever picks up his pencil to create. In working for us, he helped transform an attic space of our home into a stunning master suite, bringing transitional elegance that gave needed spark to our space, while respecting the historic integrity of our century home. Later, when we bought our northern getaway, he transformed the drafty, characterless barn of a building that we had purchased, into a truly one-of-kind masterpiece that was at once a home, and at home in its setting. Later, I came to know Richard as an artisan supplier on some of his projects. Through this I experienced his attention to the overall project vision and client expectations from behind the scenes. And, like any good conductor, he made sure that all of the contractors on the project were in tune and playing together, so that the final melody was harmonious and advanced to the final vision and to the client's ultimate delight. “His company completed 2 jobs for us which we were, and continue to be very happy with. Nothing but good things to say The first project was a beautiful modern library. The design was innovative and met our aesthetic requirements of an intellectual space as well our wishes to have warm and functional family space. The room continues to be our haven. I grew up surrounded by close family and stimulating books and the room captures the essence of that coziness, warmth and stimulation. The second project was a food/wine cellar. Again innovative and cool aesthetic. He has a natural eye for selecting/showcasing the beauty of wood, and in the case of the cellar blended this well with metal and concrete for a industrial look tempered by the smoothness of a bamboo grain and polished aluminum.”

“Our initial meetings with Graham were productive. He worked with our original sketches and produced a quick working budget for us. He was well versed with the regions bylaws and compliance issues and had an extensive understanding of heritage properties. Changes in financial circumstance have put a hold on our project but we know others who have since had excellent experiences with Graham and who too recommend him for large and small scale renovations. Graham Whiting is a brilliant addition to the Region of Waterloo brain trust.”

“Working with Studio M and Marie Marx in particular was a joy from beginning to end . Marie oversaw a significant project including a complete kitchen renovation and addition to second story to transform a small master bedroom into a master suite complete with a sitting room, dressing room and high end four piece ensuite. Marie designed the changes, drew the plans, obtained the building permit, hired the contractor, oversaw the construction, chose the materials and finally completed the interior design. Amazing professional. Considering the size and scope of the project, there were very few glitches and Marie adeptly handled any that did arise. One year later we still love the renovation and would change nothing. I cannot recommend Studio M highly enough to anyone looking to work with a skilled, talented professional with a keen sense of design.”

“Oh my gosh! I was absolutely thrilled with the service Aka Architecture provided me for my dream loft apartment - a third story renovation in a Queen Anne Victorian Building, where I also run my business. The mixed use of my building made this project very tricky logistically. However, Aka Architecture handled the permit logistics amazingly, with outstanding professional communication between myself as the owner and my City's Building Department for a smooth ride to an official permit. As for the design itself...Wow! Gorgeous! The apartment design is sheik and modern, keeping to my original vision of a dream living space, while magically maintaining much of the historic prestige of the exterior. Aka Architecture also kept the entire project from start to finish within the range of my original budget. Amazing! Aka succeeded in superseding all my expectations on every aspect of the job.
