Rarebirds Interiors is a dynamic design studio committed to creating spaces that express individual style and pragmatic functionality. Our design team draws on extensive design experience and knowledge to deliver creative, sophisticated interior projects. We champion the artisan and the craftsperson and our established trade relationships enable Rarebirds to achieve sensational interiors design solutions. Our Auckland Grey Lynn villa studio provides an immersive experience for our clients to view a curation of materials and fittings, discuss plans, be inspired and reassured, or merely enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of bubbles. OUR APPROACH - Our goal is to craft enduring interior design and to help our clients make braver design choices. We accompany you through the design journey, from interpreting your ideas into initial concepts to overseeing final project delivery. We listen and acknowledge what matters to you, how you want to enjoy your spaces and express your personality. Each project is bespoke, respecting the individuality of each client through our award- winning approach to design. Rarebirds Interiors is an Interior Design team that explores every design project with a respect for creative expression and strong technical expertise. We had a beautiful architectual design drawn up for our home. We wanted to ensure the interior design was as beautiful. A friend, from the building industry, recommended Rarebirds "best designers ever". Rarebirds reimmagined the interior layout - changing a few areas to give us the ultimate layout for how we live. We took our builder to the meeting and he said "wow thats stunning, next level". The ideas boards Sean and Kelly (Rarebirds) put togther with layers of colours, materials, fabrics sold us that they were the designers we wanted to work with. Having a great designers working with an excellent building team made our renovation an enjoyable experience. Now our home is finished we love it. Rarebirds highly recommended. Thank you Rarebirds

Initially, I was in two minds about upgrading the interior of my house so I met with Kelly and Sean to discuss the process. By the end of the process I trusted them completely and gave them full control of the project. The project itself included a full interior design and fitout including adding an extra bedroom within the same building footprint. I particularly liked that where they felt strongly about a design aspect or on the materials to be used that they would not comprise but on other aspects of the project they were fully flexible and happy to incorporate design aspects that were important to me. They take care of all the project management including organising tradesman and materials and did a fantastic job of this. They were sensitive to the budget that I had and gave me regular cost updates including providing detailed breakdowns comparing actual costs to budget so I always knew how costs were tracking. By end of the project Kelly, Sean and Nerissa had become friends and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

We couldn’t be happier with our kitchen design experience! Sean not only created a stunning and elegant space that exceeded our expectations, but he also made the entire process enjoyable with his expertise and attention to detail. What started as a professional project turned into a great friendship, and we’re grateful to have worked with someone so talented and genuinely kind. Highly recommend Sean to anyone who asks about my Kitchen. I wish I had him design my whole house now!

The team at Rare Birds did a wonderful job with our bathroom renovations. They were able to work around some tricky areas to provide some brilliant results. They were helpful and friendly from start to finish. I would definitely work with them again for future projects.

The Rarebirds team were a delight to 'work with' - 100% commitment from start to finish, lots of humour involved, great service/attention to detail - great communications. All design challenges resolved quickly with no fuss. There were absolutely 'no surprises' (the unexpected ones that are never good) and I am just so happy with the final result - achieved on time and to the highest possible standard. Most importantly, they really listened to my ideas and were never overbearing about theirs! Easy to see why they are deservedly award winners and I would wholeheartedly recommend them for any project - large or small. Thanks Birds!

Rarebirds helped us to rebuild and remodel our home from a small cottage to our two story dream house. Their advice, knowledge and support are second to none. They took the time to understand us as clients and as people, and I was shocked at how much the designs they gave us represented what we wanted, and in some cases improved on it! Their experience, competence, and reliability really made what is normally a difficult process far easier. Highly recommend!
