Renovate 20/20

I worked for 3 years for a renovation company now I want to offer something better to the people I choose to work with. With a love of design and a knack for making better spaces in the places we live, I offer the benefit of my skills, a better product at a better price. 20 Years in the building industry has taught me to manage people and projects well and run things within budget. I see budget as being the most important aspect of project management and the only way to achieve this is to manage people well with fair but hard negotiation skills. I have owned 3 Hire a Hubby franchises plus had a construction company employing 11 staff. We completed projects such as a Retirement Village, built new homes for private people plus completed subdivision developments. I then stated other development projects, this involved purchasing properties working with the necessary trades and council and creating a subdivision, then I engaged trades on a contract basis to complete my subdivision development; I worked with architects and council and provided lower cost housing for people. I completed my first project renovating the existing house, subdividing and managing the building of a new house of my own design. These homes sold very quickly once they went to the market also obtained orders to reproduce this same new home design for others. I then went on to complete further developments of different designs, these designs were mostly my own. From here I turned my hands to the tools and started a business “All Trades Covered Ltd”, I worked this business until 2016 both employing staff as well as engaging sub contractors, I took on projects both big a small, during this time I became proficient in all aspects of the building trade. One of my first projects included 4 different fit outs of 4 different spaces in New Lynn as an IT school expanded their operation, as well as their campus’s. Then I started working as a project manager. After 12 months this company changed direction and so did I by moving to sales consultant for the same company.
