“We first decided what work was to be done and a contract was signed that was specific about the work so we both knew what to expect. The work requested was redo 2 bathrooms, replace front windows and back door and repair a shed. They began work when they stated they would and worked steady to finish on time. The workmen were considerate and told me what they were going to work on. I would hire them again without hesitation. I love the final result and pleased with the quality of the work.”

“MBD designed and remodeled TWO bathrooms to our exact liking. We contacted 4 other companies before finding MBD. Remodeling two entire bathrooms and expanding a shower in the master bath is a huge expense and a big decision and there are only great things to say about MBD. They were honest and provided various options with costs for each. The entire construction process was impressive, mainly due to the professionalism and knowledge of our Construction Superintendent, Greg, who visited the worksite constantly to ensure the high quality of work. Each time he visited the site, he met with us to ensure that we were pleased with the work, and to ask if we had any questions. Everybody at MBD has been great, and it is my pleasure to give them our recommendation, and sincere appreciation!”

They were very dependable, (always here when they said they were going to be), professional, courteous, conscience of their work, and skilled craftsmen. “Mark built our house in 2014 and we have a beautiful house, meeting all our expectations and more. We did while being out of state, through emails and pictures. It worked! The craftsmanship was outstanding. Building a house is a long sometimes challenging process and overall it went well. We had some up and down but that is totally expected for such a huge endeavor: asking a stranger to materialize the most expensive vision you ever had in your life... In the end it all worked out. He came back to fix a few things (which is normal) and we never had to pay or argue about it, he took care of it, no question, and that is special! I would totally work with him and his team again if we ever build another house. I would have no problem recommending him to my best friend or family. Great experience, great house, love living in it!”

“My bathroom is absolutely beautiful! The tile work is amazing. What was once a tiny bathroom and closet is now a shower with rainfall shower in the ceiling. Slate floors look great! Glass tile ceiling is beautiful!”

He is the most supremely organized individual...friends were always jealous of the detailed paperwork he provided weekly -- I still refer to it today! Our home ended up winning Best Custom Home in "X" price range by KC Home & Garden, what an honor! Dobbe stands behind his work too...any small issues that would arise over the years we've been here, he'd take care of immediately! Best choice in a builder...ever!”

“We had a great experience building with Homes by Chris TWO times. The first time was after our house was destroyed by a tornado. We were attracted to their finish work in their model but it turned out that they are so much more than just their finish work. HBC helped us redesign our old house on the existing foundation. Our home was more functional because they helped us move the laundry to the main floor, get a walk in pantry and a huge master closet. It was their care, professionalism, and accessibility that brought us back to rebuild another new home when our family grew larger. Many builders claim to be "custom", but seem to have many exceptions and limitations. HBC helped us get exactly what we wanted in our home including cabinets to the ceiling, a drop zone to fit my family's needs, a garage free of beams and helped us maximize our lot space and reduce cost by changing the original plot of our land.They truly want to do what is best for the families they work with.
