Home Staging is all about letting your potential buyer "emotionally move in". So many buying decisions are made in front of our own computers that you need to make sure that your property is not a "click past" ! Getting them to stop & look a your house above others. This might be something as simple as a cushion or a clock on the wall & sometimes it is a subconscious decision to stop clicking past & take a closer look. Empty rooms are a definite turn off, as are rooms full of very personalised belongings. A recent NZ Herald article stated that "real estate agents reported that home-staging could boost a homes sale price by 10-40%" On a $500k house that is at least $50,000. If you are paying the home stager an average of about $2000-2500, that is good maths!
