Damian Hannah Designer

We engaged Damian (on the recommendation of a colleague who used Damian on two projects) to design our ALNO kitchen, and two of our bathrooms as part of the renovation of our Kelburn property in Wellington NZ. The result was exactly what we wanted - a high quality, modern, welcoming kitchen with an understated elegance that beautifully compliments our home. Our new kitchen feels like an indulgence to be in. My wife also loves her new ensuite, and the other bathroom designed for the kids has worked very well. Damian worked with us throughout the process, nothing was too hard, he was always happy to accommodate late changes to plans, and took responsibility when issues arose during the build process by dealing with those issues promptly, and keeping us updated. He was always available and easy to get hold of. Emails and phone calls were responded to promptly. The professionalism exibited by Damian extended to the team of sub-contractors all of whom I met during the build process. They were fantastic to deal with, and it was clear that Damian had a very strong working relationship with these sub-contractors. From an earlier experience with a different Kitchen Design company for a previous property that saw our kitchen left unfinished for six months due to sub-contractor issues, I have come to appreciate the importance of having a Designer like Damian that enjoys the respect and priority of his sub-contractors. I have since used these sub-contractors for other work on the property. Damian continues to provide support (ie ordering of an accessory consumable particular to an installed appliance), and I have the peace of mind knowing that even though our kitchen is custom made with dimensions particular to our space, any part of it can easily be re-ordered by Damian from ALNO (or by us from ALNO directly) as ALNO keeps a record on file of the detailed plans of all custom made kitchens that can easily be fed into their manufacturing flow upon request for replacement parts/panels. Absolutely recommended.

Damian from German Kitchens was the ultimate professional when we enlisted his help in providing a superior high quality and beautiful Alno kitchen to compliment our home renovation. Working with what became a difficult space (as we ripped out almost all the walls) and looking to maximise our sea view even from the kitchen, Damian provided a stunning design which answered our brief, and more importantly, answered questions through the design that we as owners had not thought of. When that was coupled with the attention to detail shown in installation, and the quality of the products themselves (Alno kitchen with all Miele appliances), we wouldn't hesitate to have German Kitchens provide our next kitchen when the time comes, as the kitchen instantly became our favourite part of our home.

My new kitchen started as a dream when I looked at German kitchens while living in London Damien worked with me to design the perfect kitchen on a limited budget in a small apartment. He provided 3 designs to choose from and outlined the below/above budget examples.He pointed out which design would work most efficiently and and why. I had every opportunity to discuss my needs and ask questions with all the installation team. One of the aspects of Damien's management which I appreciate most of all is the way he treated me as a client ...respectful and caring. Damien manages his team very well and any issues were resolved efficiently and to my satisfaction. 3 years on I have no regrets and still delight in walking into my apartment and seeing my dream come true. As part of the renovation of our property in Roseneath, Wellington, we engaged Damian Hannah of German Kitchens to redesign our kitchen. Damian came very highly recommended by our interior designer. The project involved the removal of the existing kitchen and installation of Alno kitchen complete with Miele appliances and a granite bench top. We were very impressed with Damian's design, commitment to excellence and appreciation of the customer's needs. We are particularly pleased that Damian's design and the new kitchen complements the renovation we undertook to the rest of the house.

I needed my kitchen updated and I had an Alno kitchen already, and therefore employed Damian to advise on what was needed both in style and colour in order to suit my contempory style home. The job was quoted, installed and completed in record time and I now have a kitchen that is much more suited to its surroundings due to the expertise of someone I trusted, and as a result, I purchased a 2nd kitchen a few years later off Damian for a rental property I own. I have only amazing things to say about Damian and his ability to get the job done, with outstanding results upon completion. I would highly recommend using him and I have put many clients and friends onto him for this reason.

Damian has designed two kitchens for me so far and is due to do a third. He has a keen sense of what is current, what is beautiful for the house and what is practical given the structural constraints of the space. Damian ensures that all part of kitchen design work including cabinetry, bench tops, appliances, hobs, flooring, lighting and plumbing requirements. In particular Damian is very good at recognising the flow needed within the kitchen and how it connects with the rest of the living spaces. Definitely recommended.

Damian was awesome to deal with. He recognized the opportunity straight away and cleverly modified a solution to fit my awkward Kitchen space. His team then installed it and dealt with all curve balls that were uncovered as the old kitchen was ripped out. Damian from German Kitchens designed and installed our beautiful new German made kitchen in early 2013. The precision and attention to detail is why i chose Damian and his product, and the end result has been nothing short of exceptional. There was never an issue addressing changes through the design stage, or managing problems that cropped up during the instal. His single focus was on the client being satisfied with their European kitchen install.
