Sandy met all our desired intentions for this space and applied extra creativity and innovation to bring it to life in a harmonised way. Much appreciated, and we’re enjoying feeling and vibe it’s provided immensely!

I hired D for Design to help me update my house interior. My problem is that I like everything and my magpie tendencies left me with a home with elements from every single design style, aesthetic and era you could think of - the result resembled something like a jumble sale. Sandy gently guided me through the design process and after a lengthy consultation we managed to narrow down my style to two favourite but complimentary aesthetics. The result is a carefully curated masterpiece and could not be more different. We held onto my favourite pieces and supplemented with new where needed. Sandy's extensive product knowledge and exhaustive supplier list delivered the perfect items - I would not have had the time or energy to find these items and I was all too thrilled to hand the job over to Sandy. When needed, she also has an uncanny eye for sourcing budget friendly solutions without sacrificing quality and her experience means that she knows which suppliers she can use for this purpose. Above all she knows a home is supposed to be lived in so functionality is never far from her mind. I find fabric overwhelming so I relied heavily on Sandy for guidance in this for this - she has a wonderful appreciation of fabrics, textures, tones, plains and patterns and how to weave them all together - it is just second nature to her creative brain! This was my first time using a designer and I now fully realise the benefits in doing so. Avoiding costly mistakes is one of them. I am now armed with a template going forward so whenever the magpie in me pops out I am able to shut it down and ask myself if it fits in with my design aesthetic. I throughly enjoyed working with Sandy and valued her wit, humour and honesty and I would not hesitate to recommend the services of D Design.

Sandy did a wonderful job for our house renovation, from initial design through to implementation. We live in a large house with wonderful views and a lot of sun, however, we lived in a house not a home. We thought we could try and make it a beautiful home, but we did not have a clue as to what we were doing, to the point that we seriously considered selling it. Then we were referred to Sandy. We looked at her work online and decided to contact her as this was the direction we wanted to go with in terms of design and style. From the initial consultation we felt very comfortable dealing with Sandy, whom we found to be very accommodating, professional and extremely talented. Over the last 12 months we have worked with Sandy to furnish and style our lounge and large open plan living areas. We would highly recommend Sandy as she was a pleasure to work with and has successfully fulfilled our vision of creating a sophisticated yet warm and inviting home, where we can make the most of each living space. We moved into our house about 12 months ago. We really loved what our house offered in terms of compactness, outdoor/indoor flow and sunshine. However, we struggled to connect with our house fully given the interiors. Sandy (from D for Design) has helped us to create a home that we now love wholeheartedly. We moved from an old villa into a much more modern house and found that a lot of our furniture and accessories didn’t suit the new home. As a couple, we also had quite different ideas about styles and colours. In addition, we are very time-poor and were struggling to find the right furniture pieces and create a coherent look. Thankfully we found Sandy! She listened to what we wanted, created a consistent and thoughtful design that we both liked, and then searched far and wide for the right pieces. Some were made bespoke, and some were inexpensive. She also used the pieces we already had wherever possible. Once all the major items were in place, Sandy then accessorised the spaces to make them beautiful but comfortable. Apart from being the most stylish person on the planet, Sandy is also a warm, friendly person who lets you have as much input as you like into the process and doesn’t hesitate to gently disagree if she believes something won’t work. Although we paid Sandy for her services, we actually saved so much in time, that it seems like we got a bargain.
