“This was my first ever time commissioning curtains in my first ever house, and I can absolutely say that Sonia Whiteman made the experience a pleasure. I knew nothing about fabrics, linings interlinings, pleats, returns... Sonia talked me through all the options. She measured not once, not twice, but three times, and held my hand through everything, including putting up poles, return hooks and hold-backs. I really can't recommend her highly enough, she is an extremely skilled and careful seamstress, and a lovely person to deal with.”

“Melissa Hutcheson's blinds have made the world of difference to my bedrooms: finally, no more street light seeping in at night! I have two very different sized windows in my master bedroom, but Melissa found a way to unite them with her blinds. I get so many compliments on the choice of fabric, too. Melissa made choosing entirely painless, by not drowning me in samples, and quickly understanding my tastes (despite the house being only partially furnished and undecorated at the time of her first visit). I would warmly recommend Melissa's services.”

“A friend who had used Bindu’s services recommended her for our sitting room project. I needed help with choosing curtain fabric to fit our existing sofas and she listened to my requirements and saw curtains and blinds I already had in the house to gauge my style. I love colour and Bindu was great with suggesting colour schemes and fabric. Once I had decided on the fabric which she ordered, she organised new poles which I painted myself, and she also organised the fitting of the poles and took great detail in the final fitting of the curtains which were then steamed in place. I can’t recommend Bindu enough for her ideas, professionalism and general friendliness.”

“Zoe, measured, made and fitted all the curtains in my home. Made to measure they are the perfect fit. Ensuring no material was wasted Zoe also made some bespoke cushions - what a wonderful additon a room. I would definately recommend her skills and talent.”

“I recently moved house, to a new area I am not familiar with, and wanted some help with window furnishings. Closs & Hamblin contacted by phone initially and asked me about my project, they arranged for a lady to come out to measure, and bring a variety of fabric samples. Julie was really helpful, and spent time listening to my ideas, then measured the windows, and advised on both poles and curtain headings. She then helped me choose the right fabric to go with my sofa, and talked through how the order would be made and fitted. I was then sent a quote, which I accepted. The curtains were hand made and delivered by a fitter, who installed the poles, and hung the curtains - again a seamless process. I cannot recommend this company highly enough, they were really friendly, listened to my requirements, kept me informed all the way through my order and delivered everything on time.”

“The Shutter Shack have recently completed their 3rd installation in our home and once again we have have extremely pleased with their work. To have them expertly measured, ordered and fitted took a lot of the stress out of our purchase. We have been extremely happy with the quality and finish of our shutters in our master suite, children's bedrooms and full height shutters over our bi fold doors we will certainly continue to use them when other projects in our home are completed.”

“Most of my curtains and blinds were hand crafted by Aileen. She seems to have a new variety of latest fabric collections all the time, so plenty to choose from. Brilliant job, beginning to end + fab customer service. I would highly recommend her to any one. O. Davis”
