Comments (1)I think floor to ceiling tiles in a small bathroom can look quite nice. You may want to think about using a combination of tiles to add more interest and texture to the room....See MoreDoes combining a bathroom & laundry work?
Comments (8)It all depends on what you want to do in your laundry and what in your bathroom I guess. I appreciate the fact that there might not be enough space to do this but I store outdoor shoes in the laundry and the dog's leash and cleaning stuff. I need room to sort the dirty laundry into piles before washing it. I keep the ironing board in there and I need a tub to wash things in and to do flowers in and to put the odd cloth that wiped up the cat sick before it gets rinsed and washed.. heaps of things other than just washing. Couldn't manage with a cupboard laundry ( piles of washing on the hall floor when using it) and think these kinds of laundry functions might not make a gorgeous lavendery bath or shower feel that luxurious. So I am for as big a laundry with tubs, cupboard and bench nearest the outside back entrance and yes washing line as poss. And a lovely fresh warm bathroom near the bedroom separate from the dirty clothes and boots and all that other stuff....See MoreBathroom dilemma
Comments (1)Hi Emily, This does seem quite extreme for such a small renovation. I recommend that you investigate getting a CCTV inspection done. They will put a camera down the closest manhole and follow the pipe along. Make sure if you do this, you ask the CCTV drain inspectors to locate the drain for you and place pegs on site. You may be able to find a solution from there. Second option is to re-look at the floor plan to establish if there is a better place to relocate the toilet without needing another gully trap. 2.5 bathrooms is quite generous so for resell it may not be necessary, although there may be other alterations you could do to improve circulation, flow and functionality. Good luck with your renovations....See Morenarrow bathroom renovation help
Comments (0)We recently moved into a 1980 highest brick home in Queensland The lower level bathroom is narrow - 100x 260 and includes a shower, small sink and toilet on an outside wall with window There is an adjacent hallway plus linen storage which connects the laundry to the rumpus room and can be converted to incorporate that space into the bathroom renovation (it would mean a door at either end to shut when in use and walking through to access the laundry. Please help with layout ideas. The floor underneath is concrete and I believe behind the plaster in the bathroom will be the blond brick wall that exists in the rest of the lower level Thanks!...See MoreFontaine Industries
