In my search for a good looking, eco, something I can build house, I came across this on Youtube.

Japanese Traditional Timber House

With it's great earthquake resilience and our abundance of wood, it looks like a good match for NZ. Or am i dreaming?

Anyone know if anything similar has been done in NZ?

Would love to do a timber frame and find an appropriate panel to fill the gaps in the framing.
