Do you want this to be a big reno? meaning, will you replace things totally or do you want to work with what you have mostly?
will you add a toilet to the bathroom?
if you replace the vanity, you can put in a larger one curving around the corner with a medicine cabinet above. If you replace the shower with one flat on the ground, you can also put in clear doors for bigger visual space.
how about re-painting as well

you can also remove the wall between bathtub and shower and put a clear shower door there as welll

We were thinking of replacing everything, bath, vanity, shower and towel rails. We have a separate toilet so we don't need to worry about that. New paint and/or tiles is a must as the wallpaper is lifting and the flooring will need changing your too

How about a modern walk in shower where the old one is but then a freestanding bath across the corner rather than tucked up at the side. If necessary you could move the sink unit along the right hand wall, or you could maybe swap so that the sink is on the left with a bath across at a slight angle in front of the window.
