That said, from a stylistic point of view there is often a push toward lower. Further, the huge range of heights in ready made furniture shows just how much variation there is. Some of it is ergonomically designed, some is not.

We have a comfortable old cane two seater that has faded to an orangey tan colour. What would the view be on painting this, and what colour and paint type would work? Wondering about a chabby chic type coat of paint in a silvery grey colour, or else a dark charcoal colour (and a new cover.) Any feed back welcome.
