If you have bare walls, then choose colours that won't clash and would tie in wiht the room. Then pick out colours you actually like and pick a favourite. Most everything will go with Grey but contrast is usually more visually pleasing.

Flooring should be light. I'm not sure how a bamboo floor would work. Did you end up going ahead with the kitchen plans? What did you go with?

What about colour , character and personality ? A splashback with a pond and a tree may be great , or look naff , as the Poms would say . Potentially , its on the right track , but look at pic 3 . Gone to sleep yet ? Probably $30k spent on nothingness . Now look at pic 3 , and imagine your splashback . Even if it is ( cringe ) black and white too , it will actually add to it . A bit . I don't like the particular light used in pic 1 , but its got character , you notice it , it is not totally bland . Pic 3 is .

Just finalising kitchen colours. Soft Matt black velvet prime laminate which will be the back of the kitchen colour Island will be soft Matt surrender. Marble look prime stone which will also be the splashback I'm just worried about the flooring I've chosen it's meadow cortex ? But is the colour too light? Shall I go darker? Wld love to see other vinyl floors with Matt black ? I have grey Carpet in the lounge area all open plan. Don't wanna stuff it up such a huge investment
