Hi, I'm wanting to purchase 3 rolls of Gardens of Amsterdam 64133 wallpaper made by BN Wallcoverings. I'm happy to get it from any country and can arrange freight to New Zealand. Yes, I had noticed a lot of pics on Houzz, that's what gave me the idea! I certainly wouldn't put it IN the shower! We have a tiled shower, but the tiles only go as high as the glass surrounds, so there is about 30cm of painted wall above the shower, which is the part I was worried about with steam etc.

We have just brought a 1970s home which has painted wallpaper. We stripped the wallpaper in one of the small rooms (about 10m2 of wall). We were hoping to re-plaster and paint the walls ourselves as a plasterer would cost approx. $1,900+GST (including paint). The wallpaper came off easily enough but there are definitely some little imperfections in the old plasterboard which need fixing. Also, the joins between the plasterboard have been plastered but not taped beforehand. We were told that if we want to get a good finish, we would need to cut the groove out, re-tape and plaster over. It may be easier to just replace the gib, scotia and skirtings? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

There is a lot of paste and size residue still on the walls. Washing and scraping helps but it still feels like it's there. Would a good sanding be sufficent or do I need to wash all the paste off before painting?
