This is the current look - it will be being repaired at some point from the many earthquakes we have had over the last two years and it is currently a very dark room. I would like to warm it up somehow. Suggestions? I did consider, white panelling 1/3 way up the wall and a collection of mirrors to reflect the light in.

Just under the cornice, use same rod height for all openings even though doors are shorter.

I'm thinking you should make them higher as the ceiling goes higher, but that's just my opinion. It's a slight difference in height between the exterior sliding doors but the height difference will be good I think. What'd you end up doing?

I am trying to find interesting and aesthetically pleasing options for dealing with a 3.2m stud height in an architectural build for clients. It is open plan kitchen, scullery, dining, lounge all at this height and trying to decide if I drop down the ceiling over the kitchen side of things to make storage functional. Issue is a decorative beam running down one side of my proposed lowered ceiling. Any thoughts, images or comments?
