Try West Elm - www.westelm.co.uk. They have some beautiful walnut tables at a decent price point (says the woman with 6, 5 and 3 year olds). I love the mid-century expandable one. You will want to buy an oilskin tablecloth or something to protect it from art projects though! They also have glasstopped tables with walnut legs, but glass is a nightmare with kids as it shows fingerprints both on top and under and you'll find you clean it A LOT. Try Neptune also - they have some lovely tables that will go quite nicely in your style, and you can get painted legs to compliment your cabinetry and give it a harmonious feel.
