It depends on what sort of ceiling fan you're looking for! They come in all shapes and sizes and I'd be happy to help.
A good starting place is the CFM, (cubic feet per minute) which is a measure of how much air the fan can move. A high efficiency fan has a CFM over 7,000, but even a little below that is fine for most rooms.
