We just stained our section fences with Wattle Ebony from Mitre 10. Was looking for a charcoal color too, not much flexibility in color options with stains from the shelves at store. We sprayed on, rather than brushing. Is cost a concern? One of our to be neighbours was doing there fences at the same time with paint, he said he used nearly 100L of paint for 2 coats, we used nearly 50L in 2 costs - had similar amount of fences. I've included photo of it after the 2 coats

Hey there. Go for a cooler colour palette and draw the eye to a focal point at the end of the hallway, a console table, artwork, a mirror etc. A cooler paint colour helps the small space visually recede. In terms of the doors, going slighter darker will again make the space feel bigger. Go half a shade lighter on the low ceiling than the walls, using the same colour, rather than bright white, which will look dirty in the low light. Good luck!

What a lovely space! I would suggest an earthy deep green on this wall and possibly repeat this hue somewhere else in the space….either via cushions or art or another wall. the lime green pot does not work in this earthy natural space….it’s too loud. Maybe paint it the same green as wall. Keep the space calm…..timber, rust, deep greens

I am having my house painted at the moment. My chosen weatherboard colour was Dulux Mt Aspiring (with Okarito windows and Castlecliff door/accents). When the painters started on the weatherboards I thought the Mt Aspiring was too white - so asked them to change to Double Mt Aspiring. I am now regretting that decision somewhat. They have now painted all four sides and the colour is perfect on 2 sides. The problem is the front looks a lot darker as is is just about always shaded from the tree lined street. My question is - would it be feasible to have just the front repainted in the single mix and leave the other 3 sides as they are? Is this a done thing or not advisable? Appreciate any thoughts.
