Facade design help needed
I have gotten an artists impression of what the front of my house is going to look like but I don't love it. It looks a bit dated and bare. I want something that looks modern and structured but don't know where to start or how I would go about designing something better. Where would I add different textures or facade features?

Comments (4)I would balance the fridge cabinet wall by having the fridge centred between two narrower pantry cabinets as it currently feels far to heavy for your space. Alternatively, I would recommend having a narrow pantry on the left of the fridge with a full height cabinet with counter on the right with an upper cabinet above. Comments (6)The market is full of tropical/botanical art at the moment which lend themselves well to tropical or beachy looks. The look you are after calls for natural textures with a soft colour palette, think linen bedding and layer it up with throws and cushions for texture and pops of colour. In my opinion drapes are not a good option in your room as the ceiling slopes to just above your window at a certain point. This would dictate the height at which your drapes hang and, in this instance would be too low. To soften the windows, I would have a tall palm or Fiddle Leaf Fig tree in wicker basket. PRO6 years agoThe basic form is a bit clunky and fairly traditional. Unfortunately at this stage of construction it is probably too late to make any structural changes, and your windows have probably already been ordered. The huge two-storey columns and the wall lights give it a much more traditional feel. Your options will be limited to exterior materials and colours , so I would suggest you engage a designer with some flair who understands contemporary design and materials to see if it can end up being the house that you really want, rather than the house that you have compromised on.
