TV and fireplace. Furniture layout suggestions please.
Comments (3)Try the TV where the sofa is now and float the sofa perpendicular to the fireplace where you currently have the big chair. Perhaps the big chair can then go where the TV was for a quiet spot for one. Or even better, pull the loveseat off the wall and put the big chair to its left flanking the fireplace....See MoreDouble check my floor plan!
Comments (6)I understand wanting to keep the views from as many rooms as possible. However, how much time is spent in the bedrooms? And is the view visible the majority of time one spends in the bedroom? Consider that the most restful, secure sleep is obtained when the bed is placed opposite the entry door. That is not possible in any of your current bedroom layouts. Perhaps you should consider single solid glass French doors or windows flanking the beds opposite the doors rather than the large windows you show on the plan. Choice of doors or windows would be based on accessibility to a deck. I assume bedroom 1 and the office/bedroom have built-in bunk beds. I think the deck between the family and bedroom 3 seems inaccessible and a bit of a waste, and I wonder how one gets outside from the kitchen with the trash, etc. Do you have no plans to garage the vehicles?...See MoreConsistency throughout a home
Comments (10)I love that colorful floral!! it almost has a 40 vibe, and glamorous - I think it would look great in small toilet, maybe matte gold color mirror frame (and everything else white). The other floral is more retro - I prefer the glamorous florar. For the bathroom, if its a paper wallpaper I wouldn't use it beause of the moisture from showers might have the paper corners come off, and you can't really clean it - so I would skip wallpaper there. I love wallpaper and the drama it gives, but it has it challenges. But I like your choises so far, so you are on the right track. If you do something for the lounge I would do something geometric, and monogromatic more subtle....See MoreAdvice please, mini bathroom reno DIY
Comments (0)We have just scraped together to buy our first home, everything is liveable, but it does have some of its 70s originals which I can mostly deal with but would like to do a little diy on the bathroom to be able to enjoy it a bit more until we can afford a full on reno. Any suggestion is on what we could do with this? Yes, the Lino is diabolical but it runs right through the laundry into the pink kitchen so will have to consider a few things before replacing this! TIA :)...See MoreKate
