Hey Barry, Glad you like the floors! I’m sorry to say that these aren’t new pine but rather salvaged heart pine that we got from Elmwood reclaimed timber’s. We have had some success in staining new pine to look old and red like this but it is a bit of a trial an error process. That being said these were finished with 4 coats of Waterlox which will with time and sun begin to redden and richen your floors. Sadly though there is no substitute for a few hundred years of age on old growth pine. Good luck!
