you need to decide the precise available space in the bathroom, new laundry and in the storage space (and why can't that space be used?) and decide what you need to have in the new laundry and what will you do with previous laundry space in the bathroom?...do want a walk through new laundry or a laundry room with a separate hallway to access the bedrooms and bathroom...how will you use the family room as you need to add suitable scale sized furniture to the rooms to find out how much space will be left for walkways across the rooms and will any doors need to be changed?

The storage room has a low sloping roof as there are stairs above it so cannot be changed. The laundry needs to accommodate a front loader, dryer, sink and bench space. I am comfortable with a walk through laundry, something that’s accessible whilst the bathroom is in use. Removing the existing laundry will allow the bathroom to have a spacious vanity and larger shower, no need for a bath as there is one in the ensuite.

Can you move the storage room door around the corner and then build the laundry along the storage room wall? That way it won’t jut out into the room making it look and feel smaller.
