Has anyone done a stainless behcntop with an induction cooktop set into a recess formed into the stainless so the cooktop is flush with the main bench surface?

I would like to do this so there is a single height surface and there is less chance of knocking things into the glass edge and potentially chipping it.

Also, how well does an induction cooktop seal to the bench surface? Is there a possibility of liquid from a boiling over pot running into the cabinetry below?
