Does combining a bathroom & laundry work?
Comments (8)It all depends on what you want to do in your laundry and what in your bathroom I guess. I appreciate the fact that there might not be enough space to do this but I store outdoor shoes in the laundry and the dog's leash and cleaning stuff. I need room to sort the dirty laundry into piles before washing it. I keep the ironing board in there and I need a tub to wash things in and to do flowers in and to put the odd cloth that wiped up the cat sick before it gets rinsed and washed.. heaps of things other than just washing. Couldn't manage with a cupboard laundry ( piles of washing on the hall floor when using it) and think these kinds of laundry functions might not make a gorgeous lavendery bath or shower feel that luxurious. So I am for as big a laundry with tubs, cupboard and bench nearest the outside back entrance and yes washing line as poss. And a lovely fresh warm bathroom near the bedroom separate from the dirty clothes and boots and all that other stuff....See MoreBathroom & Laundry Renovation - Before & After
Comments (0)This project required a small renovation, where my clients wanted to create something simple and light, without costing a fortune. In the guest bathroom we were able to leave the plumbing as is and worked on replacing the WC, Shower and Vanity. In the laundry the area in the room behind the counter, storage area was pushed back allowing for a larger space within the narrow room. A new door was put in and a new window. Before: After: This extension of space allowed for the guest bathroom to be extended out as well to allow for a larger vanity and all round larger and more accommodating space. The counter top in the laundry is bamboo, the simple black tiles above and perhaps later down the clients will put up cupboards and shelving as suggested. Before: After: The light grey ceramic tiles on the floor replaced the dark ones that made the space feel small and cramped. The white on the walls and new lighting give a totally different feel to the room and makes it a far more welcoming space to work in. Check entire project here!...See MoreLaundry/bathroom dilemma
Comments (0)Please need some help and advice on trying to combine a European laundry and bathroom into a 2.1m by 2.3m space. The proposed design has the appliances stacked with a small laundry sink, all housed in a cupboard opening onto the hallway. We would greatly appreciate any help on the design to improve the space and whether this would even work in such a tight space?...See MoreBathroom Layout - advice please
Comments (2)Sorry the main bathroom (beside the lounge area). I have the ensuite sorted. We'd like a bath in the main bathroom, shower, toilet and vanity. Ideally I don't want the toilet on the wall that separates the bathroom and lounge....bit uncomfortable for guests going loo when we are in the lounge watching TV!...See Moredreamer
