Hi,

I have been asked to mount a blender on an exercycle for a school, so the children can exert their own energy to a tangible outcome. I have been given the green beast below as an example, but I want to use the 90 degree gearbox of a cheap angle grinder with a belt drive, because the exercycle I have,

has a flywheel, not a solid rubber tire. The angle grinder gearbox is 4:1, so when I reverse the drive direction, I will get 4:1.

I am working out the gearing and wonder; does anyone know the approximate speed a cutter of a jug blender? I am reckoning my design will have it at about 3000rpm for an average cadence of 80.
