You could turn your table to give a new look or keep as is, add a fabulous light, larger artwork and a lovely planter, you could add a rug or not, your floors are beautiful.

I forget to add that we have just purchased a wall cushion like in the photo in a royal blue which will be a feature.

Hi Julie, yes it will. We are waiting for it to arrive. We wanted to put lighting from the ceiling when we renovated but the light was already on the wall and we wanted to cut costs. I wonder if there are any wall sconce to go above the wall cushion?

Ceramic wall sconces by Robert Gordon are beautiful, a bit different to the norm but could look lovely above your wall cushion. Create White have a beautiful range also.

I think the chandelier wall lights are pretty but would prefer something more like what julie has suggested, you could also consider a hanging light over the table using the wall light connection. Your painting will look better if you hang it at eye level.

We actually just posted an article today on this very topic!

Article is primary focused on things you can do while planning a renovation but the best thing you can do for the space as is likely better lighting and adding some personal touches (Like that fantastic wall cushion you posted!).

If you wanted to plan another renovation, ultimately opening up the space by knocking down walls would be ideal and give you a more room to play with (But likely to be expensive depending on your roof structure).
