Need help with my kitchen...
Comments (3)Two lights are better, but if you use thee pendants, then position the two stools should be in the middle of the center and end lights.Although they will look very huge. Pictures would help....See MoreHelp choosing roof colour!
Comments (0)We currently have clay tiles in a teracotta colour which are original from 1940s. We are replacing our roof with a metal tile roof and can't decide on a colour. We are looking at either a teracotta colour or ebony/dark grey. We are in a bushy area in New Zealand. We are looking at leaving the window trims and the gable white but would look at painting the pop up which is currently a dark red stain to match the new roof. Any suggestions welcome! Comments (3)Thanks Luke and Hayley. As it happens my tiler has now finished the job and we decided is that the area is unlikely to get damp given the location, and therefore the quality of the paint finish with silicon join to benchtop would work fine and look the best. It has come together looking really good. Appreciate you taking the time to comment. Regards, Kerry...See MoreWhat trees to handle salt spray and wind?
Comments (0)We have removed 3 large cherry trees on our side of the fence to the right hand side of the driveway. At the moment the grass area inside the front fence is approx 6 metres. (measured from the fence to the driveway by the garage) The long term plan is to widen that part of the driveway by 2 metres. This will leave a remaining 4 metres for grass & 2 - 3 large trees. For the meantime we have put down a roll-out lawn and we plan to plant trees along the fence line within the 4 meters. Hoping to be able to purchase some well established trees for instant privacy. (The Rhodo will go once there's more privacy from the new trees - whether we plant something else along the angled side fence??? Ideas here also please) The trees need to be able to handle salt spray and a lot of wind (we live in South Taranaki). We don't want something that has flowers that cause allergies. Nothing that drops messy berries like the cherry trees that used to be here! Thinking something similar shape to the tree in the last picture. Suggestions welcome :)...See MoreValerie Crow
