Help! All the walls have been painted, the light fixtures are updated, kitchen nearly finished. But I can't seem to decide on the finishes, it's as if I am now afraid to do anything else, is this normal ??
I say yes, it is! I can relate 100%. We are building a new home, and I've been doing most of the selections & meetings. I've been looking at paint chips, rugs, fabric swatches and furniture until I'm blue in the face. I think it's ok to take a step back and not have every last loose end or finish choice buttoned up immediately. Give yourself permission to take a mental break from it and come back to it later.
I googled 'design paralysis' and it quite common, and the best advice seems to be to take small steps, so first I am going to make a list (love lists) small to large projects and then take that one small step. And if I muck it up, well I will just do it again! Thank you for you advice and kind words, that is what makes Houzzzers such special people, we are all in this together.
