The deep, inky-toned paint was used to wrap the whole room, creating drama and luxury. The period features from this double-fronted reception room were fully restored and the fireplace was restored. We chose a warm wood for the floor, in a herringbone pattern to add a sense of warmth and luxury. A 1920s sofa was reupholstered, alongside a vintage cocktail chair, keeping the palette consistent, and allowing the pops of colour to come from the artwork and feature lighting. The pink Murano glass chandelier is a dramatic focal point, both playful and theatrical. We introduced touches of brass to complement the colours and textures. The velvet on the furniture gives a sense of inviting comfort. Bespoke roman blinds, also in the colour palette of the space, allow lots of light into the room and do not intrude on the sofa placed against the window.

A full house renovation was done to transform a standard “estate” house into a modern and comfortable home with a concentration on the ground floor living space. Sitting & Dining Rooms Transformation, turning dated spaces into relaxing and modern interior. Our clients' top priority was to maximise storage and create space to both relax and entertain. We went with a more traditional and darker look for these 2 rooms as a contrast to the rest of the house, and used dark blue and green tones to create a sense of calm in the sitting room. For the kids, we created a separate play area using stylish crittall doors. These provide a sense of independence while ensuring parents can always keep an eye on them. We extended the low built-in storage across the back wall, not only housing all the children’s toys but also providing a seating area for their friends. The crittall doors also allow natural light to flow beautifully from the front to the back of the home, creating a bright and inviting space. Earthy and warm tones are used across the finishes of the space, giving it a calm feel.

Sitting within a designated AONB, this new Arts and Crafts-influenced residence replaced an ‘end of life’ 1960’s bungalow. Conceived to sit above an extensive private wine cellar, this highly refined house features a dramatic circular sitting room. An internal lift provides access to all floors, from the underground level to the roof-top observation terrace showcasing panoramic views overlooking the Fal Estuary. The bespoke joinery and internal finishes detailed by The Bazeley Partnership included walnut floor-boarding, skirtings, doors and wardrobes. Curved staircases are complemented by glass handrails and the bathrooms are finished with limestone, white marble and mother-of-pearl inlay. The bedrooms were completed with vanity units clad in rustic oak and marble and feature hand-painted murals on Japanese silk wallpaper. Externally, extensive use of traditional stonework, cut granite, Delabole slate, standing seam copper roofs and copper gutters and downpipes combine to create a building that acknowledges the regional context whilst maintaining its own character.
