Vista che mostra molto bene i cambiamenti apportati alle pareti divisorie. Il passaggio tra ingresso (il punto da cui guardiamo) e il soggiorno era già aperto ma era segnato a pavimento da una fascia di decoro. Il pavimento non è stato sostituito ma abbiamo sostituito la fascia decorativa. La cucina (qui vediamo il piano snack) era completamente separata, abbiamo eliminato la porta e l'intera parete che la divideva dall'ingresso. E' stato possibile ripristinare la pavimentazione sostituendo alcune piastrelle senza creare stacchi.

Creating a peaceful and relaxing living room with plenty of seating for family gatherings. The colour scheme is soft with walls painted in Ivory Tusk by Colourtrend Paints. The room had a beautiful dual aspect so we choose our window treatments carefully wanted to maximise the light. We supplied the beautiful handmade curtains with beautiful damask patterned fabric from villa nova which provides texture and interest. and has a beautiful damask pattern. The curtains are complemented by the sofa fabric. The sofa was made to order in one of our linen plain fabrics from villa nova and we choose a beautiful trellis pattern for the scatter cushions. The beautiful painting is by one of my favourite Irish artists Theo Hanley who specialises in seascapes. The coffee table, sideboard and side table in a cool grey painted finish and are available to order from my studio.

Concrete block walls provide thermal mass for heating and defence agains hot summer. The subdued colours create a quiet and cosy space focussed around the fire. Timber joinery adds warmth and texture , framing the collections of books and collected objects.

This was for a gentleman who wanted a new look. He had some original pieces such as the lighting and unity table that he wanted to re-use. Old ceilings were skimmed and new lighting installed throughout. New media custom made bespoke /TV wall that my client built on his own from my detail drawings!
