Green Living Room Design Photos with Green Walls and Medium Hardwood Floors

A contemporary space designed for Telford Homes as a show home for their New Garden Quarter development. When designing this space, I really focused on bringing the outside in, as all apartments are centered around a beautiful communal garden, created to encourage community. The brief was to portray the fast-paced city lifestyle, with clean colours and natural woods with greenery throughout, representing the landscaped garden development, whilst conveying a luxury meets convenience lifestyle. It was to be stylish, cool yet cosy in design with a light and more 'earthy' environment and a mixture of materials.

To brighten and warm the room, the ceiling between the lower ground floor and the ground floor was removed, allowing the south-facing light to flow through the front of the house. A sculptural staircase was added to connect the living room and the hallway.

Vanessa et Yann ont vécu 2 ans et demi de travaux pour rénover intégralement cette maison. Une fois l'agrandissement et la surélévation pour créer un étage supplémentaire achevés, WherDeco s'est occupé de la décoration et des finitions. Vanessa avait envie de nature, d'un ensemble harmonieux et sain qui fait la part belle à la nature et au vert. WherDeco lui a donné des conseils couleurs pour savoir choisir les bonnes nuances de peinture, lui a fait quelques plans 3D pour lui permettre de se projeter et a établi la shopping list qui a permis de donner une seconde vie à cette maison.

The original couch and armchairs have been recovered in forest green velvet; both patterned and plain, enhancing the richness of the dark polished wood in pieces dotted around the room. No Chintz has struck an absolute balance with plenty of lightness in the walls, rugs and blinds anchored by the deep hues of a select few pieces. Framing the view of the walled courtyard are lovely French windows. What could be better than a natural linen blind to dress these glass panels, trimmed with a decorative braid.

Das Farb- und Materialkonzept setzt das dunkle Grün „Matisse“ von Anna von Mangoldt als bestimmenden Farbton ein, der einen überraschenden und deutlichen Kontrast zu den üblichen Bürofarben bildet, wie z. B. Weiß, Chrom, Grau mit blauen oder schwarzen Akzenten. Kombiniert wurde es mit dem tiefen Braun der individuell geplanten Einrichtungselemente, wie die Stehtischmodule und Sitzelemente. Sie sind aus Holz mit einer speziellen Oberfläche, die auch für Flightcases von Musikinstrumenten eingesetzt wird. Zusammen mit dem Grünton behalten die Möbel ihren rockigen Bühnencharakter erinnern aber zugleich an die Farbkombinationen alter englischer Clubeinrichtungen in denen dunkle Hölzer mit Grün- und Goldtönen eingesetzt wurden. Le sur-mesure et le vert à l'honneur. Nous avons rénové cet appartement pour un couple sans enfant. Ce chantier a demandé 8 menuiseries, toutes sur-mesure (SDB, cuisine, verrière).

A contrast to the cosy snug, this second living room was light and airy and had fabulous views of the garden. To create that connection to the outside views I chose this lovely floaty fabric with leaf detail print and painted the walls a very pale grey green colour. It felt fresh and light.
