The beam above the fireplace has been stripped back along with the beams to lighten the area and help lift the the ceiling. With the help of a roof window this back area is now flooded with natural light.

Außergewöhnlicher könnte ein Hotel kaum noch sein, als das Faralda NDSM Crane Hotel in Amsterdam. Der denkmalgeschützte Verladekran in der ehemaligen Schiffswerft wurde nach der Idee des Bauherrn und Projektentwicklers Edwin Kornmann Rudi in Kooperation mit IAA Architecten Amsterdam und den Ingenieuren von VDNDP bouwingenieurs innovativ restauriert und beherbergt nun drei anspruchsvolle Suiten. In den eleganten Designerbädern kamen verschiedene Design-Kollektionen von Villeroy & Boch zum Einsatz, auf der obersten Terrasse befindet sich sogar ein Whirlpool der SportX-Line – das alles in schwindelerregenden 35 bis 45 Metern Höhe.

Our client was an avid reader and memorabilia collector. It was important for there to be an area to showcase all of these items for all to see. Having access to cozy corners to read and relax in was also important

Bespoke Library area designed to showcase clients memorabilia along with books and photos. recessed lighting helps all items be on view.

This room is an L shaped room which means walking through one half to get to the other. Splitting the room into different areas has meant that each area gets used at different times of the day.
