Living Room Design Photos with Orange Walls, Purple Walls and a Wood Stove

Design Penguin completely remodelled the sitting room in this Cornish cottage to turn it into a contemporary cinema room. Dark Farrow and Ball Brinjal walls, rich velvet Loaf sofa and gold wall lights add drama, with cast iron radiator and wooden flooring sympathetic to the original features of the room.

The lounge in a beautifully renovated barn was in diamond need of some TLC. It was dark and ill used. Once the beams were lightened and a vellum was fitted the room started taking shape. This L-shaped room needed to be re configured. Creating a library area with bespoke shelving and a seating area opposite has given this part of the room a new lease of life. Making use of all of the nooks and crannies has meant that the room has a few choices of area to sit. The deep return to the right of the fireplace was crying out for an accent chair, shelving and floor lamp.

In March 2017 I was approached by a couple who had recently purchased a property in Lowther Village, a conservation village on the edge of the Lowther Castle estate. The property needed completely refurbishing before it could be used as a second home and holiday let. The property is grade II* listed and in addition to designing and project managing the refurbishment I obtained the listed building consent on their behalf. The application was submitted in May 2017 and approved at the end of July 2017. Work was completed in October 2017 and the property is now available for rental via Cumbrian Cottages.

Dieser Ofen Steht in unserer Ausstellung in Schlieben und wird täglich beheizt. Er ist mit einem Leda Diamant H300 Einsatz ausgestattet und speist einen 2000 Liter Pufferspeicher der mit Hilfe eines Pelletofens unser Haus mit 280qm Wohnfläche beheizt. Durch eine zuschaltbare Nachheizfläche wird zusätzlich Wärme an unser Büro und die Ausstellung abgegeben. Die Kacheln sind von Zehendner mit "Granulat-Effekt-Glasur".
