Close off/fence off side entrance at the edge of house. Put a planting area in front of the fence/wall that matches the front porch, redo steps and overhang, make into a side patio.
Ugly bay window has to stay, need to put in a higher better looking planting underneath. More boxwoods? Fine. Easy.

Cut away/remove concrete from side of house, starting at edge of house. Make into a private side patio w. planters
Put in a permanent long raised planting bed on this side of the yard, fence it off on the side of the yard looking into the neighbor's yard.
