This counter is cool, and love the mix with wood, though not sure how well wood would age vs stone/cement?

I do think we need some storage drawers in the kitchen area, regardless of what Seth thinks. :) This is pretty cool, with the white stone, but not sure if that will just get gross and dirty.... I know I do *not* love the old school dark, speckled granite tops I am seeing in a lot of the pictures.

I like the idea of the kitchen space feeling a bit more like a small structure like this. Not necessarily in love with this style, but having a bit of a wall around it, maybe a small overhang. Seth isn't convinced on the overhang, but I feel like it makes it feel more finished.

I think it would be interesting to think about a little bar off of the outdoor kitchen area if the space was right. If it took too much space away from the table/shaded area, then it may not make sense.

Really like this as a non wood-looking option.

Like this mix of soft and hardscape around the pool

I really like where whatever hardscape is around the pool blends nicely with whatever is lining the pool (where the stone is now).

I heart this!

Like these raised walls outside of the pool with the fountains. Nice that it doubles as seating for people who want to interact in the pool but not get it...would be interesting to explore maybe on a corner of the back side of the pool? Not sure if it would close up the space too much.

Seth *doesn't* like the paver/grass intertwined right next to the pool like this one

Love both this decking and the stone/pavers...like how they transition well into each other.

Love this decking look

In place of the awning, love the idea of something like this pergola in that space -- something that provides the same shade, but ideally not a full, closed roof....if that's possible? Love also being able to hang the club lights from it. :)
