Questionable Designs

Not bad, not bad at all. And it totally works, especially as a generic airbnb. But it could be so much more. Right now it’s a little blank, simple, ikea, and generic. It needs a little more color and homeyness too it.

The tiles add nice texture and lightness due to color, and the vanity seems nice. But the contination of the tiles from the shower to the vanity makes the space seem blah, and the vanity itself just seems boring. Not to mention that obviously the glass shower door can’t open fully and it hits the counter.

This totally looks like something I would try -namely the suspended dining table

Again, this feels like another 70’s office waiting area

Gotta be careful with vertical wood slats and concrete. If it’s overdone like it kind of is here, it can start to have a 70’s office building vibe. Also, you’ve got to be mindful of the shadows and darkness created

I want to like it, but something about it just isn’t right. Maybe it’s the two couches facing each other that makes the space seem very limited in space and scope

Be careful: when using lots of stone and brick, be careful not to make it feel cold and dark and like a dungeon. Have plenty of natural light, and add some greenery and wood elements. It also might help to make it feel cleaner and more modern to utilize more straight lines over a more rugged look (if it’s new build and not remodel I guess).

This is a very cool house and I like the vibe a lot - just don’t think it’s something I see me or my family living in realistically. (Try to view the pictures of the whole project - they’re stunning!)

It’s unique and I like what they’re going for, but it just seems a little pointless. I would have wanted it to a more distinct, separate space. Adding some built ins would probably help

Seems like it should be good but I’m just not feeling it. It’s dark - could use more lighting literally anywhere - I don’t like the tile floors at all and am not a huge fan of the tile back splash either - not sure if I like the large tiles - the frosted cabinets just aren’t doing much for me either. Just looks cold and boring

It’s so simple and uniform, it could get boring, hard to clean, and can feel sterile and uninviting.
