Posts?

Even with this underhang the posts are smaller than ours and it looks better proportioned (though we would still need a plan to deal with water on the post tops (ours are exposed on one side!) and the birds...

This is OK because the underhang on the post is smaller and the roof is thicker meeting it...though, in general I think our posts look too wide. But if our posts were this wide and the connect point at the top were wider then this could work

if ours will end up with the frame of the porch roof being this wide I'm likely OK with them...though these posts in this picture still seem smaller. But this much overhang (underhang?) may be OK

These posts feel like the size of our posts and are simply too big for the style of our house (and the style of this pictured house) in my opinion...but others like it so I might get used to the size...but still they fit under the porch and I don't think ours will!!

These posts may be too small...but they could be done?? and were closer to what I was expecting. I do want to be sure it is structurally sound and doesn't look TOO small on the brick base so the size on the brown house in this list may be better for us.

These ones can work because the post fits under what they are connecting too...ours are MUCH too wide for what they connect too...at least at the current moment.
