So, the ball did not shear off….the nut that connected the screw attached to the ball fell off, and then the ball bounced out of it’s place…god only knows where it sailed off to. And of course, we did not check anything this am because we were 15 minutes from our drop off point. The fix was easy, the nice policeman took Beloved off in the cruiser to buy the missing part and we were on our way very quickly. He let Beloved sit in the front seat!
