Kitchen
Function is key. We have a huge pantry where I am planning to store most items. Struggling over island size and placement, how to incorporate double ovens, and what to do with the 3’8” counter on the other side of mudroom entry. There are no windows so relying on natural light from GR and eating area. Under and/or top cabinet lights to help? Can lights on separate switches to control amount of artificial light and keep electric costs from being insane?

Wood for eating area
solid slab backsplash
Both like this. Light upper, dark lower, not too many fussy details but still looks nice.
Tile as kitchen backsplash- tie into fireplace tile
hood balancing out wood cabinets
Cabinets and handles. Backsplash is a bit much.
