A Kitchen Hanging Garden

An enclosed stairway to the lower level is located behind the sink area. The clients memorialized one of their friends with a custom designed glass window. One of their major requests was to open up the space and to incorporate the window into the decor of the kitchen. The sink was deliberately placed in that corner for close proximity to the range but also to provide adequate counter space adjaent to all the main elements of the kitchen. Cutting a hole in that wall really eposed the glass nicely but also let you stand at the sink in an open space not facing a wall.
