The master bath and guest bath were also remodeled in this project. This textured grey subway tile was used in both. The guest bath features a tub-shower combination with a glass side-panel to help give the room a bigger, more open feel than the wall that was originally there. The master shower features sliding glass doors and a fold down seat, as well as trendy black shiplap. All and all, both bathroom remodels added an element of luxury and relaxation to the home.

The footprint of this bathroom remained true to its original form. Finishes were updated with a focus on staying true to the original craftsman aesthetic of this Sears Kit Home. Penny tile was used throughout the shower area and on the floor. This pull and replace bathroom remodel was designed and built by Meadowlark Design + Build in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The master bath is a true oasis, with white marble on the floor, countertop and backsplash, in period-appropriate subway and basket-weave patterns. Wall and floor-mounted chrome fixtures at the sink, tub and shower provide vintage charm and contemporary function. Chrome accents are also found in the light fixtures, cabinet hardware and accessories. The heated towel bars and make-up area with lit mirror provide added luxury. Access to the master closet is through the wood 5-panel pocket door.

This project was focused on eeking out space for another bathroom for this growing family. The three bedroom, Craftsman bungalow was originally built with only one bathroom, which is typical for the era. The challenge was to find space without compromising the existing storage in the home. It was achieved by claiming the closet areas between two bedrooms, increasing the original 29" depth and expanding into the larger of the two bedrooms. The result was a compact, yet efficient bathroom. Classic finishes are respectful of the vernacular and time period of the home.

We were hired to finish the basement of our clients cottage in Haliburton. The house is a woodsy craftsman style. Basements can be dark so we used pickled pine to brighten up this 3000 sf space which allowed us to remain consistent with the vibe of the overall cottage. We delineated the large open space in to four functions - a Family Room (with projector screen TV viewing above the fireplace and a reading niche); a Game Room with access to large doors open to the lake; a Guest Bedroom with sitting nook; and an Exercise Room. Glass was used in the french and barn doors to allow light to penetrate each space. Shelving units were used to provide some visual separation between the Family Room and Game Room. The fireplace referenced the upstairs fireplace with added inspiration from a photo our clients saw and loved. We provided all construction docs and furnishings will installed soon.

This master bathroom is elegant with a modern farmhouse touch. It has every element of luxury and relaxation a master bathroom needs, without losing that warm and cozy feeling. The freestanding tub makes this bathroom a haven for relaxation. The large shower and double vanity are prefect compliments to create a beautiful and functional space.
