Inspired by a trip to Legoland, I devised a unique way to cantilever the Lego Minifigure base plates to the gray base plate perpendicularly without having to use glue. Just don't slam the door.

The "Mystical Fairy Play & Nursery" project are two rooms that coincide with another. The first room is a nursery that will eventually turn into a big girls room when these twins transition. The second room is their playroom which will eventually become the other bedroom for one of the girls. In the meantime, it is the place where their imagination can run wild and be inspired through representational art. This project was full of color, vibrancy, and creativity!

Designing this light-filled nursery for my first child was a dream come true and every detail speaks to the hopes I have for him and the life I want to give him- filled with possibilities, space to find his true self, and the pure joyfulness of childhood.

My youngest client ever! I met this 4 year old's parents when they had me over to take a look at their on going living room project. After working on a couple of spaces in their West Loop building, they had come to know me and my work. We started, instead, with the daughters room. It was a total blank slate. They parents wanted something girly, but not pink, youthful but not toddler, and vintage but not traditional. I understood exactly what this room needed.

This playroom features flexible seating for gaming, watching TV or sleeping since the couch is a daybed with a trundle and the bean bag chairs are easy to move around the room. The custom slat wall and clear acrylic shelves creates a contemporary wall treatment for toys, books and fun accents without being intrusive to the space. The expandable table is perfect for building Legos or playing board games. Navy blue with a pop of orange is a fun color scheme that will will last as the kids grow up.

It really just doesn't get much more fun than designing for elementary-aged little girls. This seven-year-old was thrilled by the design we proposed, using her one stipulation: pink. She's all set up for success (and good day-dreaming) with a desk in front of the windows. Modular boxes & shelves on the wall double for play and storage, and lots of floor and dresser space leave room for a doll world that reaches far beyond the four pink walls of this bedroom.

A pretty room for a baby girl in nice pastel colours. Pinky and cute. Soft decor wall by the bed and pinkish wall in the playing area with the small kids table. White furniture with lots of storage in comfortable for a kid size, cool carpet for the games and comfort, and hanging rattan armchair to relax. Star shaped designer lamps on the ceiling.
