A bright, octagonal shaped sunroom and wraparound deck off the living room give this home its ageless appeal. A private sitting room off the largest master suite provides a peaceful first-floor retreat. Upstairs are two additional bedroom suites and a private sitting area while the walk-out downstairs houses the home’s casual spaces, including a family room, refreshment/snack bar and two additional bedrooms.

This fun playroom was designed for three-year-old twins, Samantha and Gabriel. Functionality was included in all aspects of this design. The storage unit includes drawers, canvas buckets, boxes to store artwork, and areas for display and a CD player. Whimsical red and blue uplights create a soft glow.

A cottage room was created in the lower level bedroom - mimicking the screen porch of the original cottage on the property. We patterened the scalloping from the eaves, removed an original window and custom framed it here and applied glass behind, duplicated the board and batten siding and added Norwegian accents to play up the family heritage. Not seen in the pictures is the 2 single beds on the opposite side of the room - so 6 people can sleep comfortably in this spacious space.

The goal of this nursery was to create a comfortable and stylish space for a baby boy without using the obvious blues. In addition to not sticking with the cliche color blue, we needed to make sure that the room was bright seeing as the climate has lots of grey weather most of the year. We decided to go with a gender neutral color of yellow. The mural was hand painted by an incredible Peruvian artist and the quilt which was hand made served as the inspiration for the room.
