Splash Pools & ConstructionLocated at the Toll Brothers Model Homes the Enclave at Yorba Linda. Toll Brothers envisioned a raised overflow pool with glass walls, allowing guests to see underwater from the outside. Extensive care was taken during the difficult design and build process to ensure that excellence was achieved and Toll Brothers was completely enamored with the results.
This pool features a very modern look with straight, clean lines, square columns and LED lights accenting the acrylic pool walls. The bar area touts an acrylic wall and in-pool bar stools, while the tile inside the pool matches the house, bringing continuity to the entire space.
An extreme amount of coordination was required for the 2.5 inch thick pieces of acrylic to fit perfectly within the slots on the columns while still maintaining the structural integrity of the pool. We were in continual communication with the structural engineer and acrylic manufacturer, ensuring that each piece fit perfectly. The completed acrylic walls were then craned over the house due to their weight.
With a vanishing edge on the front three sections and a negative edge along the back, it was absolutely imperative that the pool was perfectly level and that the water filtration system operated perfectly so that the flow was even over each wall. The water cascading over the front walls collects in a trough that ties into to the rear negative edge basin, where it recirculates back into the pool.
The rear negative edge was designed so as not to distract from the breathtaking view of the valley below, while the lounging deck overhangs the pool with a freestanding cover ensuring that the view is completely unobstructed.
An elegant piece of artwork frames the back of the pool, completing the look for this intriguing swimming pool.

Swimming Pool ServicesThis water feature was added to an existing pool. The client wanted a focal point for the space. The exterior of the water feature features thin veneer stone with Bedford Stone caps. The centerpiece is a Sheer Descent waterfall.
Studio 511The pool house has a soaring ceiling covered in raw cypress planks. The walls are painted brick with soft gray French doors on all four sides. The floor is large random French limestone. Interior design by Markham Roberts.
Unique Landscapes and Custom PoolsThe large palm trees, the Ramada and the pool are all in perfect proportion. The deep blue of the pool draws your eye in and toward the Ramada and then up to the night sky.
Land Art Design, Inc.We needed a crane to install this pool and deck staircase after grading this steeply sloped lot in McLean, VA. Large steeping stones set in grade provide access from the wrought iron spiral staircase and upper patio to the IPE pool deck below.
AquaTerra OutdoorsAquaTerra was hired to transform this dated pool and landscaping to a new outdoor environment more suited to the current home owners. We demolished everything down to the pool shell and started over. Working with an existing shell forced us to be creative with what was existing; we added the tanning ledge and the raised water feature wall all on the existing structure.
Features of this renovation that add aesthetic appeal include: New tanning ledge with bubblers, new raised water feature wall, all new pool tile, coping, plaster and led lights, new pool equipment, new travertine decks, new fire pit, new artificial turf putting green and all new landscaping.
The finished project gave the clients more than could have imagined!
