The clients were living with a very dated and non-functional "master" bathroom. They wanted to gut it and start over with key asks being for a curbless shower, floating vanity and modern style.

Bel Air - Serene Elegance. This collection was designed with cool tones and spa-like qualities to create a space that is timeless and forever elegant.

Little did our homeowner know how much his inspiration for his master bathroom renovation might mean to him after the year of Covid 2020. Living in a land-locked state meant a lot of travel to partake in his love of scuba diving throughout the world. When thinking about remodeling his bath, it was only natural for him to want to bring one of his favorite island diving spots home. We were asked to create an elegant bathroom that captured the elements of the Caribbean with some of the colors and textures of the sand and the sea. The pallet fell into place with the sourcing of a natural quartzite slab for the countertop that included aqua and deep navy blues accented by coral and sand colors. Floating vanities in a sandy, bleached wood with an accent of louvered shutter doors give the space an open airy feeling. A sculpted tub with a wave pattern was set atop a bed of pebble stone and beneath a wall of bamboo stone tile. A tub ledge provides access for products. The large format floor and shower tile (24 x 48) we specified brings to mind the trademark creamy white sand-swept swirls of Caribbean beaches. The walk-in curbless shower boasts three shower heads with a rain head, standard shower head, and a handheld wand near the bench toped in natural quartzite. Pebble stone finishes the floor off with an authentic nod to the beaches for the feet.

Badrenovierung aus einer Hand in einem 50er Jahre Haus in Bielefeld. Das Bad sollte nicht schön sondern auch funktionell sein. Der Kunde will seinen Lebensabend in der Wohnung verbringen, das neue Bad sollte deshalb altersgerecht und ohne große Barrieren sein. Der Raum für das Bad ist nur über das Schlafzimmer zugänglich. Gleichzeitig sollte das Design des Bades die gehobene Ausstattung der gesamten Einrichtung in der Wohnung dezent und zeitlos, aber modern reflektieren. Wichtig war dem Auftraggeber dabei aber auch die Funktionalität. In einem geräumigen Unterputzschrank können alle Accessoires und Gebrauchsgegenstände untergebracht werden. Das Dusch WC bietet ein Höchstmaß an Komfort und Hygiene. Darüberhinaus erleichtert es im Alter eine eventuelle Pflegesituation.

Schlichte, klassische Aufteilung mit matter Keramik am WC und Duschtasse und Waschbecken aus Mineralwerkstoffe. Das Becken eingebaut in eine Holzablage mit Stauraummöglichkeit. Klare Linien und ein Materialmix von klein zu groß definieren den Raum. Großes Raumgefühl durch die offene Dusche.

This project was a full remodel of a master bedroom and bathroom

The goal of this project was to upgrade the builder grade finishes and create an ergonomic space that had a contemporary feel. This bathroom transformed from a standard, builder grade bathroom to a contemporary urban oasis. This was one of my favorite projects, I know I say that about most of my projects but this one really took an amazing transformation. By removing the walls surrounding the shower and relocating the toilet it visually opened up the space. Creating a deeper shower allowed for the tub to be incorporated into the wet area. Adding a LED panel in the back of the shower gave the illusion of a depth and created a unique storage ledge. A custom vanity keeps a clean front with different storage options and linear limestone draws the eye towards the stacked stone accent wall. Using light flooring in the form of natural lime stone 12x24 tiles with a linear pattern, it really draws the eye down the length of the room which is what we needed. Then, breaking up the space a little with the stone pebble flooring in the shower, this client enjoyed his time living in Japan and wanted to incorporate some of the elements that he appreciated while living there. The dark stacked stone feature wall behind the tub is the perfect backdrop for the LED panel, giving the illusion of a window and also creates a cool storage shelf for the tub. A narrow, but tasteful, oval freestanding tub fit effortlessly in the back of the shower. With a sloped floor, ensuring no standing water either in the shower floor or behind the tub, every thought went into engineering this Atlanta bathroom to last the test of time. With now adequate space in the shower, there was space for adjacent shower heads controlled by Kohler digital valves. A hand wand was added for use and convenience of cleaning as well. On the vanity are semi-vessel sinks which give the appearance of vessel sinks, but with the added benefit of a deeper, rounded basin to avoid splashing. Wall mounted faucets add sophistication as well as less cleaning maintenance over time. The custom vanity is streamlined with drawers, doors and a pull out for a can or hamper. A wonderful project and equally wonderful client. I really enjoyed working with this client and the creative direction of this project. The master bath was designed to create a calm and serene space for the owners. The large soaking tub and steam shower are the main focal points but the floor to ceiling tile walls, suspended double vanity with tall mirrors and wall sconces are a close second. The shower curbless with zero entry clearance and a long suspended bench.

A European modern interpretation to a standard 8'x5' bathroom with a touch of mid-century color scheme for warmth. large format porcelain tile (72x30) was used both for the walls and for the floor. A 3D tile was used for the center wall for accent / focal point. Wall mounted toilet were used to save space. The in-wall toilet system framing enclosure was extruded out 6" allowing a wonderful opportunity to build a custom-made cabinet and an open square shelf. The shower is curb less, so the entire bathroom floor was waterproofed. Large format tile shower floor required a custom cut to allow correct water sloping.
