A small bathroom is given a clean, bright, and contemporary look. Storage was key to this design, so we made sure to give our clients plenty of hidden space throughout the room. We installed a full-height linen closet which, thanks to the pull-out shelves, stays conveniently tucked away as well as vanity with U-shaped drawers, perfect for storing smaller items. The shower also provides our clients with storage opportunity, with two large shower niches - one with four built-in glass shelves. For a bit of sparkle and contrast to the all-white interior, we added a copper glass tile accent to the second niche. The main bathroom was recreated in an authentic Californian bungalow style featuring tessellated tiles, subway tiles in a brick pattern with capping tiles, Shaker-style framed mirrored cabinet, pedestal vanity, older-style toilet with timber toilet seat and older-style accessories. The original stained glass window was maintained. The only modern variation was the streamlined glass shower wall.

Accessibility is something to keep in mind for those visiting your home. We designed this guest bath with a zero-entry shower and wide door openings. Since this home's side sits against one of Savannah's ubiquitous lanes, we added a skylight instead of a side window, which allows for natural light and complete privacy. These clients requested a beautiful large walk in shower without glass and thresholds. By removing the tub we were able to accomplish their request in style and beautiful craftsmanship!

Using 48"x 10" tiles, I started with the niche as it was going to be the WOW!. Tiles were laid out so the niche was integrated. The front and back walls where tiles in hexagon marble. A soft interest on the wall without completing for visual attention.

What started off as simple vanity and floor replacement turned into a full bathroom remodel. With its minimalist aesthetic, this modern bathroom has a simple yet elegant design which gives the space a calming and focused feel. Making it the perfect place to prepare for the day ahead.
